For Felix Art Fair, Sea View is pleased to present a selection of new works by eight up-and-coming artists in the gallery’s forthcoming program. Reflecting on the spectral and permeable, especially in context with the iconic Hotel Roosevelt (which has been known as one of Los Angeles’ oldest haunts), the artists include: Jamiu Agboke, Elana Bowsher, Jane Corrigan, Nik Gelormino, Max Xeno Karnig, James Herman, Bruce Richards, Jennifer Tafoya and William Wright.
The artists will present new artworks in dialogue with California’s own phantasmal lore that dates back to the Gold Rush era and Hollywood’s Golden Age. This interplay between contemporary art and historic architecture is at the heart of Sea View’s program and its mission to provide new and meaningful contexts for emergent and overlooked artists.
